Delaware Tea Party Site

This site was set up to communicate information about the Delaware Tea Parties scheduled for April 15th in:
Laurel @Janosik Park 4-8pm organized by Chris Shirley
Georgetown on the Circle 12-2pm organized by Steve Hyle and Donna Gordon
Wilmington -Rodney Square TBA

There will be a food drive at each Tea Party Location. Dont bring a can folks, bring a box. Times are tough and your neighbors need your help.

Greetings to All:
I am thrilled to send this update! We now have almost final approval to hold a Tax Day Tea Party in Georgetown, Laurel, and Dover. I am still working on Wilmington. I am also thrilled to announce that we will be holding a food drive at each of these parties. The need for food has been increasing at a terrifying rate! This is our opportunity to show government that We The People, can recognize a problem and provide a solution faster and better than the government, and we will not require a contract, increased taxes or need a million dollar bonus. The Tax Day Tea Party is history in the making. The only other event in history that can be compared is the Boston Tea Party. This will be the largest gathering of citizens voicing their opinions ever in the history of our country. We also want it to be the largest food drive ever in history. Please don’t bring a can, bring a box! Your neighbor needs it.
The Party in Georgetown will be held at the Circle from noon to 2 pm. Steve Hyle and Donna Gordon are the organizers for this party. The Laurel Party will be in Janosik Park from 4 pm to 7 or 8 pm. I am the organizer for this party as well as State Coordinator. I will get final official approval for this on Monday Night at the Town Council meeting. I will make the official announcement then. The Dover Party will be at Legislative Mall. I have not set a time for this but it needs to be between noon and midnight. I need someone to volunteer to organize this Party. I wish I could outline everything that will be required from you if you volunteer for this, but as I have told you, I have never planned anything like this before. I can promise we will learn and work it out together. I will also need a organizer for Wilmington/Rodney Square, if we get approval. I think they will have a hard time saying no, since we have already got approval for the others.
The National Tea Party organizers has created a way for you to receive updates on this movement from them. You need to text message Teaparty and type in 69302 on your cell phone. This is new and they promised to send out more information on it. Since we are all citizens and not part of one organization, communication can be a problem so this is one of the solutions we are working on. This is suppose to be active now. I will update on this when I find out more.
I am in the process of gathering volunteers for many jobs. I will need people to help gather the food, assist with parking, and clean up after the party. We will be collecting information from everyone to create a working list of volunteers so all of this does not stop on April 15th and I will need people to work on taking this information. All of the parties will be video taping their events and summiting these tapes to be posted on online. There will be one area where you can go and see tapes from all the parties across the Country. I will need people to work on this. I could really use someone to develop a Delaware Tax Day Tea Party website. I can get free web hosting by DontGo Movement. I have a contact there that will be able to assist you. I am sure there are many things I have not even thought of yet. I am counting on all of you to help me. Together we can save our country! Oh yes, Let’s start making signs, t-shirts and invite everyone you know. Don’t forget to start collecting food.
